Use some of these cheap food storage methods when you’re stocking up on groceries:

3. Create your own dinner kits. If you make a certain recipe on a regular basis, pull together all of the dry ingredients and store it in a single container. When it’s time to make the item, all you need to do is grab the container and the wet ingredients and you can cook the meal within a very short time. Putting together these “dinner kits” can be very helpful for larger families that are sharing the responsibilities of cooking, and for days when you don’t have time or energy to put together a main meal from scratch.
4. Buy meat in bulk and freeze it. Invest in some quality freezer storage bags and stock up on fresh meat when it goes on sale. Separate the meat into portions so and write the date you purchased the meat, and what type of meat it is on the food storage bag. Set aside some room in your freezer just for meats and stock up whenever meat goes on sale at your local grocery store!

You can find some great deals on red and green food storage containers, cookie tins and other food storage supplies during after-Christmas and post-holiday sales.
