Is Chalene Johnson’s Turbo Fire Workout Program Right for You?

If you were a fan of Chalene Johnson’s Turbo Jam workout, one of the top-selling home fitness programs from Beachbody, you might have already considered buying the Turbo Fire workout program. Turbo Fire is a high-intensity, extreme cardio conditioning program that reportedly burns nine times more body fat than traditional cardio workouts.

What makes the Turbo Fire workout program different than other types of cardio workouts is the addition of high intensity interval training (HIIT) sessions. Short spurts of very intense activity between longer cardio sessions can boost your metabolism and help you burn more calories per hour. But is Chalene Johnson’s newest workout program the right fit for you? Here’s how to decide:

Simple Workout to Learn

The Turbo Fire workout program is based on some simple kickboxing, dance and plyometric moves and you’ll notice that most of the routines are fairly repetitive. If you’re looking for a workout that is easy to learn and one that will keep you motivated for weeks and weeks, Turbo Fire might be for you. Even though some of the moves can be challenging – jump squats, sumo burpees are part of the workout – you’ll be working all of your major muscle groups and will end up burning more calories than a regular aerobic routine. Once you learn all the moves in Turbo Fire, you’ll be able to perform all of the routines fairly easily and can just focus on pushing yourself to your limit during each round.

Lose Body Fat Fast

If you’re tired because you’re not getting any results from your usual cardio routine, but you aren’t ready to stop doing cardio workouts just yet, the Turbo Fire workout program may be a good match for you. Many people do cardio workouts specifically to lose weight. Cardio is one of the best ways to burn off excess body fat, but you do need to eat the right foods before you work out or do cardio on an empty stomach to get results. If you’ve hit a plateau with your cardio workouts, Turbo Fire can help you break out of it. The sequence of moves and the high-intensity interval training sessions will challenge your body in a whole new way, increase your heart rate and also help you burn more calories per hour.

Not a Big Time Commitment

If the reason why you can’t keep up with a workout routine is because you don’t have time to work out or you can’t see yourself working out for more than an hour a day to get results, Turbo Fire may be a good match for you. You only need between 45 to 60 minutes to complete the extended cardio workouts a few times per week, and just 15 to 30 minutes to complete the HIIT workouts. If you can commit to just doing a single workout a few times per week – preferably four to five times – that’s all you need to start getting in shape. You don’t need to invest in any fancy gym equipment to perform the workouts and you can schedule a short workout session into even the busiest day.
