Leptopril for Fat Loss – What You Should Know

By Sabah Karimi

If you're like the thousands of dieters looking for the latest weight loss pill or supplement to help you lose the extra weight, you may have already discovered Leptopril. Leptopril is made by Generix Laboratories and is just one of the latest products in the lineup of fat burners and metabolic boosters that claims to spur weight loss and help even those suffering obesity finally win the battle of the bulge.

The product has been heavily marketed as the ‘ultimate' solution for weight loss, and Leptopril is available online. Can Leptopril really help you lose weight? Or is it just another scam that won't deliver on its promises? If you've considered taking Leptropril to lose some weight, here's what you should know:

The Promises of Leptopril

The makers of Leptopril claims that this weight loss pill is unique because it can:

• Improve exercise performance

• Boost the metabolism

• Increase concentration

• Provide a significant energy boost

• Encourage fat burning

Generix Laboratories also states that the drug is an incredibly powerful ‘anorectic agent' because it can suppress the appetite, making it easier to simply skip meals and eat less food. According to the company, the weight you lose from these pills may also help improve your health and increase your self-esteem.

Unfortunately, none of these claims are supported by clinical studies or research about the effects of the pill on human test subjects. While the ingredients in he pills may have some beneficial properties, the company does not provide information on the actual results of all ingredients together.

Key Ingredients in Leptopril

Leptopril is made with the following key ingredients:

• Yerba mate

• Guarana

• Caffeine

• Green tea

• L-Tyrosine

• Kola Nut

• Eucommia bark

• Hoelen

• Piper Nigrum

• Schizonepeta

• Turmeric

• Polygonum

The majority of the ingredients are strong stimulants, while the remainder are a combination of diuretics, antioxidants and extracts that may help boost the metabolism.

Potential Side Effects of Leptopril

Leptopril contains a signfiicnat amount of stimulants that can have adverse effects on anyone sensitive to caffeine. Common side effects of the ingredients in this drug include:

• Insomnia

• Hyperactivity

•Anxiety

• Inability to focus or concentrate

• Constipation

• Excessive water loss

• Dry skin and dry mouth

• Extreme swings of high energy and fatigue

Bottom Line: Leptopril has not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration and does pose some health risks for anyone who may be sensitive to some of the stimulants in these pills. A closer look at these pills also reveals that the product is exactly the same as Leptoprin, a drug manufactured by Klein Becker. While the blend of stimulants sounds promising to a new dieter, the Federal Trade Commission has already issued a warning about the risks involved with drugs from this company and countless others.

If you're trying to lose a significant amount of weight, a healthy diet and exercise program can bring results. A dietitian or nutritionist can help you create a sensible eating plan that helps you lose weight naturally and effectively so you will not need a potentially dangerous ‘quick fix' solution.

I have tried on two different occasions to take these pills and have"nt been able to take them over a week because they make me feel so bad. I felt like i was gonna pass out at any given time and i suffered from severe stomach pain. It curved my appetite true enough but it wasn"t worth the discomfort that i experienced. It was really scary how it made me feel!

i have been taking Leptopril and i feel great. It has given me the energy that i need to complete my double shift work day. i havent yet experienced any side affects.I take it more as a energy supplement than as a diet loss. I havent losed any pounds yet/but then again i havent gained any either.

I have tried twice to take Leptopril and both times I have gotten a headache so severe that it makes me nauseated. My blood pressure also went up, and I don't have high blood pressure. I guess the rest of my pills will go in the trash.

I took it in 2006 and lost 25 pounds in 3 months. I only had the nausea for a couple days but I only took 1 pill at a time instead of the 2 they recommend. Mainly to make them last longer since they are one of the more expensive brands. Makes me wonder how much I would have lost if I had taken two at a time?!?

Ugh. I'm still undecided on these. I'm dieting and exercising as well as taking Leptopril. Once I started taking the pills, my weight loss increased and my appetite dramatically decreased. The only problem is about once a week I can't sleep all night and have such horrible nausea I can't even drink water. It makes work the next day pretty difficult.
